Williams & Smithells Ltd are delighted to be one of the sponsors supporting grass roots sport and sponsoring Whiteley Wanderers FC this year for the Under 10’s.  A group of 30+ children dedicated in training several times a week and playing at weekends.

Whiteley Wanderers FC provides football opportunities for children aged 5 to 18. The club is based in Whiteley, Hampshire and was formed in 1998. Currently the Club has nearly 300 registered players across the age groups.

Whiteley Wanderers FC are proud to have been awarded the Charter Development Club Standard by the Football Association. All age groups have qualified FA coaches and we are now looking into expanding the club further developing girls football and further improving standards within the club as a whole.

Katie and Stuart Gray founded Whiteley Wanderers Youth Football Club back in 1998 with one youth team. Now 14 years on from being established the Club caters for around 280 boys, girls and youths ranging from 5  – 18 years of age within a total of 23 teams. Whiteley Wanderers are affiliated to the Whiteley Men’s teams.

In April 2011 The Club was awarded Charter Status Community Standard Status, a significant achievement and one of only 17 Clubs who hold this accolade out of 290 affiliated to Hampshire FA. Teams play in the Mid Solent Youth League, The South Hants Glass Youth League and a Girls U11 team compete in the newly formed Southampton and District Girls Football League.

The home venue for the Club is the Meadowside Sports Fields next to the newly being built Whiteley Village shopping outlet which opens in may 2013. We can be found Just off Junction 9 of the M27. The Club has many volunteer helpers but is always looking to recruit more for the ever-increasing demands of running a large non-profit sports organisation. Building a rounded aluminium hull in itself is an art which can easily result in having to cover up imperfections and unwanted undulations, Not at Garcia yachts their workmanship is at a level where their hulls require no such modifications after build, it comes down to experience and with 40 years under their belt this manufacturer has plenty of it.

A sister company to Allures Yachts based in Cherbourg, Garcia Yachting has recently been commissioned to build Jimmy Cornell's latest vessel to continue his Blue Planet Odyssey in which he intends to navigate the infamous North West Passage.
